Learning Support Assistant– SEN School

We are currently working in partnership with a SEN School in Pudsey, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their team.

About the role:

The school supports pupils with a wide range of complex needs, including:

• Autism – both verbal and non-verbal students
• Moderate to severe learning difficulties
• Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
• Complex communication and sensory needs

The school is looking for individuals who have a strong understanding of supporting students with severe Autism and complex needs, and who are committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.

You will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning experience.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (SEN), particularly Autism
• Demonstrate a patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
• Be confident in building positive relationships with students with diverse needs
• Have a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
• Experience in areas such as Theatre in Education (TIE) or delivering creative workshops is highly desirable
