The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching and support staff to help students make progress both academically and personally.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Support students across the school in their day-to-day learning
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required
- Assist teachers during lessons and classroom activities
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students
- Support students with their confidence, engagement and behaviour
- Apply your understanding of psychology to support students’ individual needs
- Gain valuable experience working with students with a range of abilities and needs
- Develop your classroom skills and understanding of effective teaching
- Work alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff
- Gain first-hand experience of life within a busy school environment
