Art Teacher – Secondary School (Haringey)
September 2026 – July 2027 (Full Academic Year)
I am currently working with a creative and well-resourced secondary school in Haringey that is seeking a passionate and innovative Art Teacher to join their team from September 2026 through to July 2027. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for a qualified teacher who is committed to developing students’ creativity, technical skills, and artistic expression.
The school has a strong commitment to the arts and provides a supportive environment with well-equipped art facilities and opportunities to contribute to exhibitions and extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging Art and Design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential KS5 teaching depending on experience
Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with departmental expectations
Develop students’ practical skills in a range of media and techniques
Encourage creativity, experimentation, and independent thinking
Contribute to displays, exhibitions, and wider school arts events
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Experience teaching Art in a UK secondary school
Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of Art and Design
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
