The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching and support staff to help students make progress both academically and personally.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Support students across the school in their day-to-day learning
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required
• Assist teachers during lessons and classroom activities
• Build positive and trusting relationships with students
• Support students with their confidence, engagement and behaviour
• Apply your understanding of psychology to support students’ individual needs
• Gain valuable experience working with students with a range of abilities and needs
• Develop your classroom skills and understanding of effective teaching
• Work alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff
• Gain first-hand experience of life within a busy school environment
