SEND Teaching Assistant – Specialist School in Purley
I am currently working with a well-regarded specialist school in Purley who are urgently seeking a behavioural specialist to support their secondary-age pupils for a September start, with interviews taking place now.
About the role:
- ASC (primarily verbal students)
- Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Associated learning difficulties
We welcome applicants with a strong understanding of working with students with ASC, particularly those who may present with behaviours that challenge, and who are passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential—both academically and socially.
You will ideally have experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly autism, or a genuine passion for working within a specialist setting. Experience with structured interventions, behaviour support strategies, or therapeutic approaches is highly beneficial. By being proactive and adaptable, you will be able to build strong, trusting relationships with students and support them in developing independence and life skills.
