Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools in Worthing
Engage Education are currently working with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools in Worthing who are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 in a rewarding and engaging environment.
About the role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and development, working closely with class teachers and other support staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting with phonics, literacy and numeracy activities
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Supporting behaviour management in line with school policies
- Preparing learning resources and assisting with lesson delivery
- Encouraging pupils’ social and emotional development
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, depending on your availability.
About you
- Experience working with children (school-based or similar preferred)
- Positive, patient and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build relationships with pupils and staff
- Passion for supporting children’s learning and development
This role would suit aspiring teachers, experienced Teaching Assistants, or those looking to gain experience in education.
