This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a mainstream setting that has a high proportion of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is committed to providing a nurturing, structured environment where all pupils are supported to succeed both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet a range of SEND needs, with a strong focus on SEMH

  • Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges within a structured classroom environment

  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans and behaviour strategies

  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and external professionals

  • Create a safe, consistent, and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Experience working with SEND pupils, particularly SEMH needs

  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach

What is on offer:

  • Opportunity to work in a supportive mainstream school with a strong SEND provision

  • Collaborative leadership team and experienced support staff

  • Potential for an earlier start date for the right candidate

  • Competitive daily rates, paid weekly

  • Ongoing support from a dedicated education recruitment consultant

This role would suit a passionate SEND Teacher who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
