Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship – Primary Schools (Islington)
Start Date: September 2026 | Duration: 11 Months

I am currently working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Islington that are offering an exciting Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship programme starting in September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to begin a career in education while gaining a recognised qualification.

This role will involve working across mainstream primary settings, with a strong focus on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will gain hands-on classroom experience while completing an 11-month apprenticeship, leading to a Level 3 or Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification.

About the Role:

• Support teaching and learning across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2

• Work with pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND

• Provide one-to-one and small group support

• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, preparation, and classroom management

• Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

What You Will Gain:

Requirements:

• A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their development

• Commitment to completing the full 11-month apprenticeship
