Head of Science Required for Secondary School in Croydon (CR0)

About the role:
At Engage Education, we’re currently looking for an experienced and driven Head of Science to work full-time at a successful, forward-thinking secondary school in Croydon (CR0), starting in September.

You will be leading a well-established Science department, working within a supportive leadership team in a school that values high standards, strong behaviour, and academic excellence. The school is committed to developing both its staff and students, with a clear focus on progression, attainment, and innovative teaching.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious teacher ready to step into leadership, or an existing Head of Department looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The ideal applicant will be:

• A qualified teacher with QTS
• Experienced teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
• Proven track record of strong pupil outcomes in Science
• An effective leader, or ready to take the next step into middle leadership
• Confident in managing a team and driving departmental improvement
• Passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning
