Geography Teacher Required for Secondary School in Bradford

We are working with a supportive and welcoming secondary school in the Bradford area, which is seeking a Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department on a full-time maternity cover basis from September.
About the role
The successful applicant will be joining a team of highly experienced teachers within a well-resourced and ambitious school. You will be working collaboratively with students to deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop a strong understanding of both physical and human geography.
This is a full-time, long-term maternity cover role for a qualified teacher who can fully commit to joining a school with a clear vision, strong values, and high expectations for all learners.
The school is looking for a teacher who can inspire curiosity about the world, foster critical thinking, and contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative Humanities department.
About you
- A qualified teacher with a formal teaching qualification (ECTs will be considered for this role)
- Confident teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 to a range of abilities
- Strong subject knowledge across both physical and human geography
- A passion for Geography and education in general
- Ability to think on your feet and adapt to new environments
- A desire to work as a team with the rest of the department and the wider school community
- Strong classroom management skills and high expectations of student behaviour and achievement
