Engage Education is working with a number of secondary schools across Tower Hamlets seeking Graduate Teaching Assistants to support students with English as an Additional Language (EAL).

This role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or youth work.

The Role

You will work closely with students who are new to English or developing their language skills, helping them to access the curriculum and build confidence in the classroom.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting EAL students in lessons across a range of subjects

• Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions

• Assisting students with reading, writing, and communication skills

• Supporting students during examinations and assessments

• Working alongside teachers to remove barriers to learning

We Are Looking For

• A degree in any subject

• Excellent spoken and written English

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A passion for supporting young people from diverse backgrounds

• Additional languages are highly desirable but not essential
