About the Role

A rewarding opportunity has become available for a Behaviour Mentor to join the supportive and nurturing team.

This role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. The school is committed to creating a positive, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

We are looking for a compassionate, proactive, and resilient individual who can build strong relationships with pupils and help them succeed both academically and emotionally.

Your Role as a Behaviour Mentor

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils
  • Supporting children in the classroom to encourage engagement and positive behaviour
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff to minimise disruption and promote learning
  • Assisting pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties, and other additional needs
  • Providing feedback to teachers, parents, and carers on pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and social development

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has an outgoing, patient, and mentoring approach
  • Is passionate about supporting children and young people
  • Can think on their feet and remain calm in challenging situations
  • Is proactive, adaptable, and prepared for every day to be different
  • Has the ability to build excellent relationships and rapport with pupils and staff
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable but not essential
