At Engage Education, we’re recruiting for an exciting opportunity to work in a successful and ambitious secondary school in Bradford. We are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Maths who can teach Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with an immediate start.

This is a full-time, long-term temp-to-perm opportunity, giving the successful candidate the chance to establish themselves within the school with the potential to secure a permanent position.

About the role:

This is a full-time role teaching Mathematics to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students within a supportive and ambitious secondary school.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, challenging and well-structured Maths lessons, helping students develop both their mathematical understanding and confidence.

The school has high expectations for both behaviour and academic achievement and is looking for a teacher who can create a positive, purposeful classroom environment where all students are encouraged to reach their potential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Develop students’ mathematical knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills
  • Set high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement
  • Differentiate and adapt teaching to meet the needs of students of different abilities
  • Provide appropriate challenge and support for SEND and EAL learners
  • Assess and monitor student progress, identifying areas for intervention and improvement
  • Use questioning, feedback and assessment effectively to address misconceptions
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school team
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and support its high expectations for students

About you:

We’re looking for a passionate, ambitious and committed Maths teacher who can inspire students and help them achieve strong academic outcomes.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4
  • Have a proven ability to raise pupil progress and attainment
  • Be confident in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
  • Be able to differentiate effectively for students of varying abilities and needs
  • Build strong, positive relationships with young people
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be organised, reliable and able to manage the demands of a busy secondary classroom
  • Use assessment and progress information to identify gaps in knowledge and plan appropriate support
  • Have the ability to make complex mathematical concepts accessible and engaging
  • Be passionate about Mathematics and able to motivate students to develop a positive attitude towards the subject
  • Be a collaborative team player who works effectively with colleagues
  • Have a genuine desire to make a positive difference to the students you work with

Experience teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 is essential.

ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply, provided they have the relevant qualifications and experience.
