SEN Maths Teacher – September 2026 Start

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Maths Teacher to join a specialist school from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact within a supportive and inclusive SEND environment.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and complex learning difficulties. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons, monitor student progress, and contribute to a positive and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated Maths lessons in line with individual learning needs
  • Support students to achieve their full academic and personal potential
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Contribute to EHCPs, reviews, and progress tracking
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience teaching Maths, ideally at secondary level
  • Experience working within an SEN setting or a strong interest in SEND
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach
