Are you a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a passion for Early Years education?

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking an experienced and qualified HLTA to join its Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting children’s learning and development during the most important stage of their education.

The Role

As the EYFS HLTA, you will:

• Lead learning activities and deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support the learning and development of Nursery and Reception pupils.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support children’s communication, language, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Work closely with teachers and the EYFS Lead to plan engaging learning opportunities.
• Observe, assess and record pupil progress.
• Promote a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Support children’s personal, social and emotional development.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a recognised Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification (essential).
• Has recent experience working within an EYFS setting.
• Has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Is confident leading whole-class learning when required.
• Is committed to providing the highest standard of support for young learners.

Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full Time | Long Term (Potential for Permanent)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
