A welcoming and supportive primary school in Watford is seeking a motivated and reliable Upper Key Stage 2 (UKS2) Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity to support pupils in Years 5 and 6 during a key stage of their learning.
The Role
- Supporting pupils in Years 5 and 6 to access the curriculum
- Providing 1:1 and small group interventions, particularly in English and Maths
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
- Supporting pupils in preparation for end of KS2 SATs
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a focused learning environment
- Helping to build pupils’ confidence and independence
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working within a primary school setting, ideally in KS2
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities, including those with additional needs
- Patient, proactive and enthusiastic
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
