A supportive and inclusive school in Watford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs and help them thrive both academically and emotionally.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Supporting children with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and adapting resources to meet individual needs
• Implementing strategies to support behaviour, communication and emotional wellbeing
• Working closely with the SENCO and wider staff to follow EHCP targets
• Promoting independence, confidence and engagement in learning

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
• Patient, empathetic and able to build strong relationships
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
