SEND Teacher – All Through SEND School (Islington)
September 2026 – July 2027 (Long Term Role)
I am currently working with a highly regarded all through special educational needs and disabilities school in Islington that is seeking a committed and adaptable SEND Teacher to join their team from September 2026 through to July 2027. This is a long term, full time opportunity working across both primary and secondary phases, supporting learners with a range of complex needs.
The school provides a nurturing and highly structured environment where every pupil is supported to achieve their full potential. Staff work collaboratively across phases and subjects, ensuring a consistent and personalised approach to learning.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored teaching across a range of subjects within both primary and secondary settings
Plan and adapt learning to meet a wide range of individual needs and EHCP targets
Work closely with support staff, therapists and wider multidisciplinary teams
Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification, essential
Experience working with pupils with SEND in either primary, secondary or special school settings
Strong understanding of differentiated and adaptive teaching strategies
Ability to remain flexible and responsive across different key stages and subject areas
A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
