Train to be a Teaching Assistant on our Special Needs Programme!

Are you a graduate or experienced support worker looking to build a career in education?

We are partnering with Creative Education to offer a structured SEND Training Programme, providing in-depth support, specialist mentoring and a recognised qualification while you gain hands-on experience in schools across West Sussex.

Following an initial consultation with one of our Specialist SEND Consultants, you’ll be matched with a partner school aligned to your interests — whether that’s Complex Needs, SEMH, Autism, Speech & Language or Profound Learning Difficulties.

Our SEND team works with a large number of the SEND schools across Sussex and so to ensure you receive the best and most extensive training possible, you will be expected to travel a reasonable distance within your local radius. This will be covered within your initial consultation call to work out what this radius would be. 

The ideal candidates will be available full-time, ready to start ASAP (no notice periods over 2 weeks) and passionate about supporting children with SEND needs. There are also more permanent roles available for those who would like to go down this route. 

 

About the role:

  • Full Time Position – starting ASAP!
  • Tailor your programme around your interests – Complex Needs, SEMH, Mainstream, Speech and Language, Autism etc. Develop key skills in these areas!
  • Gain a Special Educational Needs, Teaching Assistant Qualification!
  • Have access to over 200+ Modules (Phonics, SEND, Classroom practice etc, Supporting additional needs, Understanding Autism, Understanding attachment, Complex Needs)
  • Gain hands-on experience across a variety of SEND settings to accelerate your career in education
  • Be paid between £86 – £95 per day – 8.30am – 3.30pm

About you:

  • Be passionate about supporting the development of children
  • Be personable, kind and empathetic
  • Be versatile, willing to learn and develop your skills
  • Be confident, and have a strong sense of behaviour management
  • Have some experience with children, or be passionate about doing so
  • Driver – preferable but not essential
