We are recruiting Trainee SEND Teaching Assistants to join welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Islington while completing a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a one to one basis and in small intervention groups.
- Work with children with SEND, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, SEMH and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
- Support children’s emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement.
- Deliver literacy and numeracy interventions to help pupils achieve their full potential.
- Implement support strategies outlined within EHCPs alongside class teachers and SENCOs.
- Promote inclusion and independence within the classroom.
- Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom resources.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Requirements
- Commitment to completing the 11-month Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.
- Available to work Monday to Friday throughout the academic year.
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) preferred.
- Not currently enrolled on another government-funded apprenticeship or qualification.
- A positive, reliable and professional attitude.
