Engage Education is recruiting enthusiastic individuals to join our ETAP (Engage Training & Apprenticeship Programme) in a welcoming primary school in Mitcham. You’ll work as a Teaching Assistant while completing a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship, gaining valuable classroom experience and a nationally recognised qualification.

You’ll earn from day one, receive expert mentoring, and develop the practical skills needed to become an outstanding Teaching Assistant.

What you’ll be doing

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assist with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy interventions
• Help pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
• Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement
• Support children’s emotional, social and academic development
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom resources and daily activities

Requirements

• Commitment to completing the 11-month Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (preferred)
• Not currently enrolled on another government-funded course
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
