Classics Teacher Required for Outstanding Independent Secondary School in West Sussex

Are you a Classics teacher with QTS who is seeking a full-time role for October 2026? This role working in an exciting school in West Sussex might be just right for you! 

About the role

We are working with the school to recruit a teacher who can commit to the position for the majority of the academic year, teaching both KS3 and KS4. This is a long-term or permanent position starting October (September potentially)! You will be teaching Classics as the study of languages, literatures, material culture, and history of the societies of the ancient world, together with their influence on later periods and cultures

The school is focused on providing the highest quality of education, and all members of staff are expected to strive for excellence in everything they do. 

About you

• QTS with a Classics or Languages specialism
• Experience teaching Italian at KS3 and KS4 (potentially KS5) in a secondary school
• Proven background of high pupil progress
• A real desire to make a positive difference to the pupils you work with
