A well-regarded secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated and organised Science Technician to join their Science Department from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in education, laboratory work, or scientific research, as well as experienced technicians looking for a rewarding role within a school setting.

The Role
As a Science Technician, you will:

  • Prepare, set up and clear away equipment for practical Science lessons
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and safe practical experiments
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and resources
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, placing orders where required
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Assist with the organisation and maintenance of Science laboratories
  • Support students and staff during practical activities when required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a degree in a Science-related subject or has relevant laboratory experience
  • Has strong organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
  • Understands the importance of health and safety procedures
  • Is proactive, reliable and able to work independently
  • Previous experience in a laboratory or school setting is desirable but not essential
