We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join the dedicated team at a Specialist School in Boston Spa. This role offers the opportunity to apply your understanding of child development, behaviour, communication, and learning while completing a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
- Support children with autism, hearing impairments, sensory needs, and communication difficulties
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence, social skills, and emotional wellbeing
- Assist in implementing strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles
- Encourage engagement and participation within lessons and wider school activities
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and specialist support staff
- Observe and monitor pupil progress and contribute to support planning
- Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements
- Degree in Psychology or a related field (or due to graduate)
- Commitment to completing an 11-month apprenticeship programme
- GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above preferred
- Eligibility to undertake a government-funded apprenticeship
- Passion for supporting children and young people with SEND
