Are you an experienced SEND Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Teacher to join a specialist SEND school dedicated to supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs.

The school provides specialist education for pupils with Autism and complex learning needs across a range of pathways, including:

  • Early Stage
  • IMPACT – supporting pupils with severe ASD and complex medical needs
  • KS1
  • KS2

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
  • Support pupils with Autism and complex learning needs to achieve their educational and personal targets.
  • Create a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and families to support each child’s development.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
  • Follow and implement positive behaviour strategies, including the CALMS approach.
  • Be willing to provide personal care where required.
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and work collaboratively with the wider school team.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
  • ECTs will not be considered
  • Previous experience teaching within a SEND setting.
  • Experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs.
  • Comfortable providing personal care when required.
  • Ability to work within a positive behaviour framework using CALMS.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
