Are you a passionate and qualified PE Teacher looking for your next teaching opportunity? We are working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in South Manchester seeking an enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join their successful department on a full-time, long-term basis from September.
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging PE lessons that promote teamwork, resilience, confidence and healthy lifestyles.
The Role
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons, assessing student progress and contributing to the wider life of the department through extracurricular sport where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can achieve.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Promote participation, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement.
- Contribute to extracurricular clubs, teams and school sporting events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the continued success of the PE department.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching PE within a UK secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical activities.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A passion for inspiring young people to enjoy sport and physical education.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
