The Role

As a Secondary Cover Teacher, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
• Ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout the lesson.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following the school’s behaviour policy.
• Create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour at the end of each lesson.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have experience working with young people in schools, sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, or similar settings.
• Possess strong behaviour management and excellent classroom presence.
• Are confident leading groups of students independently.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are reliable, adaptable, and able to work across different subject areas.
• Hold a degree (preferred but not essential depending on experience).
