The Role
As a Secondary Cover Teacher, you will:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
- Ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout the lesson.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following the school’s behaviour policy.
- Create a positive and productive learning environment.
- Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour at the end of each lesson.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have experience working with young people in schools, sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, or similar settings.
- Possess strong behaviour management and excellent classroom presence.
- Are confident leading groups of students independently.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Are reliable, adaptable, and able to work across different subject areas.
- Hold a degree (preferred but not essential depending on experience).
