Engage Education is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work in a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Haringey from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Teaching Assistants, or individuals with a passion for supporting children in their learning and development.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their educational goals.

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 in the classroom.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and improve progress.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those requiring additional academic or pastoral support.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
• Help prepare learning resources and maintain an engaging classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support children’s overall development.

We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, tutoring, youth work, sports coaching, or similar setting is desirable.
• A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A willingness to learn and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and wellbeing.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
