Site Technician

Site Technician Required for Primary School in Islington

About the role:

Our team has built an excellent reputation in the local area, and we’re looking for a hardworking Site Technician who can help ensure the school premises are safe, secure and well maintained, providing a positive environment for both staff and pupils.

Our Site Technicians’ duties can include:

• Opening and closing the school premises and ensuring the site is secure
• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs around the school
• Ensuring the building and grounds are clean, safe and well maintained
• Conducting regular health and safety checks and reporting any issues
• Supporting with the setup of classrooms, halls and school events
• Managing deliveries and liaising with external contractors
• Monitoring heating, lighting, alarms and other site systems
• Supporting the school with emergency procedures and general site security

The ideal applicant will have:

• Previous experience in a site, facilities, maintenance or caretaking role
• Basic practical skills, including minor repairs and general maintenance
• A good understanding of health and safety procedures
• The ability to work independently and manage their own workload
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• A reliable, proactive and flexible approach to work
• Experience working in a school or educational environment would be desirable, but is not essential
