We are recruiting a Trainee Learning Support Assistant to join the dedicated inclusion team at a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Boston Spa. This is an exciting opportunity to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 while completing a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.
Working alongside experienced staff, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and achieve success both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom-based support to students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Help students access learning across a range of curriculum subjects
- Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and literacy or numeracy difficulties
- Encourage positive engagement, independence, and resilience
- Assist with targeted intervention programmes to raise attainment and confidence
- Implement strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and support plans
- Promote inclusion and ensure all students can participate fully in school life
- Support teachers with lesson preparation, resources, and classroom organisation
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families to support student progress

Requirements
- Commitment to completing an 11-month apprenticeship programme
- GCSE English and Maths Grade 4/C or above preferred

- Not currently enrolled on another government-funded qualification
