Are you an inspiring QTS-qualified English Teacher with a passion for literature, language and helping students achieve their full potential?

We are recruiting on behalf of a thriving and supportive secondary school in the Trafford area for a dedicated English Teacher to join their successful English department from September. This is a full-time, long-term position, teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with full planning, preparation and marking responsibilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher looking for their next challenge or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a supportive school to begin their teaching career.

The Role

• Full-time, long-term position starting in September.
• Teach engaging and inspiring English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that motivate and challenge learners.
• Mark students’ work and provide constructive feedback to support progress.
• Assess pupil attainment and monitor achievement in line with the curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with a supportive and experienced English department.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching English at secondary level across KS3 and KS4.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and strong curriculum knowledge.
• Is passionate about developing students’ literacy, confidence and love of English.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
