Are you confident leading a classroom and passionate about supporting young people? We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Cover Supervisors to join our team for the new academic year, working in a range of welcoming secondary schools.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, aspiring teachers, Teaching Assistants ready for the next step, or individuals with transferable experience working with young people.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to KS3 and KS4 students in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Set high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
  • Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently in line with school policies.
  • Encourage students to remain focused and complete the work set.
  • Build positive relationships with students and school staff.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff following each lesson.

We’re Looking For People Who Have:

  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or within a secondary school.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and confidence leading groups of young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to different school environments.
  • A calm, resilient and professional approach.
