The Role

• Supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classroom
• Assisting the class teacher with engaging, play-based learning activities
• Working with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development
• Encouraging children’s social, emotional and communication skills
• Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
• Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND, where required
• Assisting with observations, classroom preparation and daily routines

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with young children in a school, nursery or childcare setting is desirable
• A caring, patient and nurturing approach
• Good understanding of the EYFS Framework is beneficial
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Passionate about supporting children during the early years of their education
