Secondary Teaching Assistant | Learning Support Assistant | Classroom Assistant

Location: Reigate, Surrey

Pay: Up to £100 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: ASAP!

Contract: Full-Time

About the role:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
  • Support students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and the wider support team to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Assist students across a range of subjects, encouraging them to develop their confidence, independence and academic skills.
  • Provide support with students’ social, emotional and behavioural development, helping to promote positive relationships and wellbeing.
  • Help to maintain a calm, focused and purposeful classroom environment in line with the school’s behaviour expectations.
  • Support students in developing effective learning strategies and encourage them to remain engaged and motivated in their education.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students while maintaining high expectations for their progress and behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals to ensure students receive the appropriate support to succeed.
  • Assist with the preparation and adaptation of learning resources and activities to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Promote inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing at all times.
  • Play a key role in helping students to make progress and have a positive and successful secondary school experience.
