Learning Support Assistant

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Caterham is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with their learning, confidence and development in a positive and inclusive school environment.
The Role
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Work closely with the class teacher to support learning and progress
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
- Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Assist with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities
- Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
- Support with classroom preparation and day-to-day activities
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children is desirable
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s education
- Patient, caring and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Reliable, adaptable and proactive
- Experience supporting children with SEND would be advantageous
