Learning Support Assistant – Oldham SEN School
Location: Oldham
Salary: £95–£115 per day

Engage Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Oldham.
The successful candidate will support pupils with SEN, SEMH, autism, ADHD, behavioural needs and complex learning difficulties, helping them access learning and develop academically, socially and emotionally.
The Role
- Providing 1:1 and small-group learning support
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
- Helping pupils remain engaged and focused in lessons
- Supporting pupils with autism, SEMH, ADHD and behavioural needs
- Assisting with individual learning plans and EHCP targets
- Building positive and supportive relationships with pupils
- Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team
- Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence and progress
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Experience in a school, care, youth work or similar setting is desirable
- A patient, caring and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- Passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their potential
