Mid Sussex is a district in the county of West Sussex it contains the towns of East Grinstead, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and many smaller towns. It’s only 45 minutes by train from Haywards Heath to London and 15 minutes to the seaside city Brighton.
Nestled in the quintessentially English countryside, there is plenty to do and see in Mid Sussex. With much of the district designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty including sections of the South Downs National Park and High Weald. Dotted across the scenic countryside there are an array of idyllic villages with many must-see attractions such as; Wakehurst Place, Nymans Gardens, the South of England Showground, Jack & Jill Windmills, Devils Dyke, Tulleys Farm, as well as fantastic golf courses and vineyards.
Mid Sussex is also home to the famous Ashdown Forest where it was the setting for the Winnie-the-Pooh stories written by A.A Milne who lived on the northern edge of the forest and took his son, Christopher Robin, walking there.
