Engage Education is working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Hassocks area to recruit a dedicated Primary Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026.

About the role:

• Teaching a class within either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on experience
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress to ensure every child achieves their potential
• Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
• Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Working collaboratively with the wider teaching team to share best practice
• Contributing to the wider life of the school and supporting extracurricular activities where appropriate

About you:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Passionate about delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Able to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply
