Year 1 Teacher Required – Primary School in Mitcham

About the role:

At Engage Education, we are currently looking for a passionate and committed Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Mitcham.

This is a full-time role starting in two weeks, paid to scale. You will be joining a supportive team in a nurturing school environment that is committed to helping both pupils and staff achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons while supporting pupils through this important stage of their primary education. The school is happy to consider ECTs as well as experienced teachers.

The ideal applicant will be:

• A qualified teacher with QTS
• Experienced in, or enthusiastic about, teaching within KS1
• Able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum
• Confident in delivering engaging phonics and early reading lessons
• Passionate about helping children make a positive start to their school journey
• Able to create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
