Year 6 Teacher opportunity in Wimbledon

We are recruiting an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Wimbledon from October.

This is a full-time position teaching a Year 6 class, with responsibility for planning and delivering engaging lessons that prepare pupils confidently for their transition to secondary school.

The role

• Full-time Year 6 teaching position
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
• Support pupils’ academic progress, wellbeing and confidence
• Prepare pupils effectively for SATs and the move to secondary school
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress
• Work collaboratively with the wider Year 6 and Key Stage 2 team
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

The ideal candidate

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Has strong Year 6 or Key Stage 2 teaching experience
• Is confident teaching the full primary curriculum
• Has a good understanding of SATs preparation and assessment
• Is organised, reliable and committed to high standards
• Creates a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
