HLTA Required for Primary School in Mitcham
About the role:
At Engage Education, we’re currently looking for an experienced and qualified HLTA to work full-time at a successful, forward-thinking primary school in Mitcham.
The role will involve covering a Year 5 class, starting ASAP and running until Christmas in the first instance.
You will become part of an enthusiastic team, working in a nurturing and academically successful environment. The school is committed to developing its pupils and staff to achieve their full potential.
The successful HLTA will be responsible for teaching the Year 5 class and ensuring pupils remain engaged and make good progress. All lessons and work will be set by the school, so there is no planning involved.
If you are an experienced HLTA who is confident taking responsibility for a KS2 class and delivering pre-planned lessons, we would love to hear from you.
The ideal applicant will be:
- A qualified HLTA with experience teaching
- Experienced working with children in KS2, ideally within Year 5 or Year 6
- Confident taking responsibility for a whole class
- Able to deliver pre-planned lessons effectively
- Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum
- An outstanding educator with a love of children and teaching
- Able to inspire and engage pupils in the classroom
