We are recruiting a Complex Needs Support Worker to join an outstanding specialist school in Pudsey that supports children and young people aged 2–19 with Autism, Communication & Interaction needs, and complex learning needs.

No two days are the same. You’ll build meaningful relationships, celebrate small victories, and help pupils develop the confidence and independence they need to succeed.

You’ll be joining a welcoming team of teachers, therapists and support staff who work together to provide personalised support and create positive outcomes for every learner.

Your Role

As a Complex Needs Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in helping pupils access learning while supporting their social, emotional and communication development.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Helping pupils develop communication, social and life skills
• Supporting children with Autism and complex additional needs
• Encouraging independence and celebrating individual achievements
• Using positive behaviour strategies to support emotional regulation
• Creating a calm, safe and engaging learning environment
• Supporting sensory regulation throughout the school day
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and families to provide consistent support
