Engage Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a well-established Further Education setting in Bromley from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students aged 16–19, with some learners aged 19+, across a range of vocational and academic programmes.
This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Teaching Assistants, or individuals with a passion for supporting learners with additional needs.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students in lessons on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assist learners with a range of additional learning needs, including SEND.
- Encourage students to engage with their studies and achieve their individual targets.
- Work alongside lecturers to adapt learning materials and provide additional classroom support.
- Help promote students’ confidence, independence, and wellbeing.
- Support positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
We’re Looking For
- Experience working with young people or adults in an educational, mentoring, youth work, or support setting is desirable.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with learners and staff.
- A genuine passion for supporting students to succeed.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
