Are you a passionate and inspiring Qualified Religious Education (RE) Teacher looking for your next opportunity this September?
We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in South Manchester for a full-time, long-term RE Teacher to join their successful Humanities department from September. This role includes full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation and marking.
The Role
- Teach Religious Education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Plan and deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons that encourage students to explore a range of religious, ethical and philosophical issues.
- Assess, monitor and mark students’ work in line with school policies.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, critical thinking and meaningful discussion.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the continued success of the Humanities department.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Religious Education in a UK secondary school.
- Confident delivering the RE curriculum across KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and supporting positive student outcomes.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
