Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher with a passion for bringing the past to life?
We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in the Stockport area for a qualified History Teacher (QTS) to join their successful Humanities department. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting in the new academic year, teaching History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This role is ideal for both experienced teachers seeking a new challenge and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to begin their teaching career in a supportive and well-established school.
The Role
- Full-time, long-term position commencing in September.
- Teach engaging and challenging History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement.
- Contribute positively to the Humanities department and wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching History at secondary level, including KS3 and KS4.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and strong subject knowledge.
- Is passionate about motivating students and raising attainment.
- Has a commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
