Are you an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a genuine impact?

We are working with an inclusive and ambitious secondary school in Haringey that is seeking a dedicated Drama Teacher to join its Performing Arts department from September 2026.

The school serves a diverse community with a high proportion of students who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL) and prides itself on creating an inclusive environment where every young person is supported to succeed. The successful candidate will play an important role in engaging students through creative learning while promoting confidence, communication and self-expression.

The Role

As the successful Drama Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire students through creative, practical and performance-based learning.
  • Develop pupils’ confidence, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities, including students with EAL and SEND.
  • Encourage participation in extracurricular performances, productions and school events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all students can flourish.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Drama within a secondary school.
  • Is confident supporting students with diverse learning needs, including EAL learners.
  • Can build strong, positive relationships with young people.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management.
  • Has high expectations of achievement, attendance and student wellbeing.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Applications are welcomed from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced Drama Teachers.
