Teaching Assistant – Burgess Hill
Full-Time | September 2026 Start
Engage Education is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Burgess Hill on a full-time basis from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in education while making a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development. You will support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and help pupils flourish in a supportive learning environment.
About the role:
- Providing classroom support across a range of subjects and activities
- Working with pupils individually and in small groups
- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Supporting pupils with their learning, confidence, and independence
- Encouraging positive behaviour and active participation
- Helping deliver targeted interventions where required
- Working closely with teachers and the wider school team
About you:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Passionate about education and supporting pupil progress
- Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Organised and proactive in supporting classroom activities
- Previous school, childcare, sports coaching, or youth work experience is advantageous
