Teaching Assistant – Worthing
Full-Time | September 2026 Start
Engage Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Worthing to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. You will work closely with teachers to help create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil can thrive.
About the role:
- Supporting pupils within the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Helping pupils access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day
- Supporting literacy, numeracy, and targeted interventions
- Preparing classroom resources and maintaining an organised learning environment
- Promoting pupils’ confidence, independence, and wellbeing
About you:
- Experience working with children is desirable
- Passionate about supporting young learners
- Patient, enthusiastic, and approachable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to adapt to the needs of different pupils
- Reliable and committed to making a positive impact
- Previous school, childcare, coaching, or youth work experience is beneficial
