Teaching Assistant – Eastbourne

Engage Education is recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school in Eastbourne from September 2026.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive contribution to their education. You will support pupils throughout the school day, helping to create a safe, engaging, and encouraging learning environment.

About the role:

• Supporting pupils across the classroom and wider school environment
• Working with individuals and small groups to support learning
• Assisting teachers with lesson activities and classroom resources
• Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
• Supporting children with their social and emotional development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Providing feedback to teachers on pupil progress and support needs

About you:

• Previous experience working with children is beneficial
• Passionate about helping pupils succeed
• Calm, supportive, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Positive attitude and willingness to support a range of pupils
• Education-based qualifications are desirable but not essential
