Teaching Assistant – Brighton

Engage Education is working with a welcoming and supportive school in Brighton to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. The successful candidate will work alongside teachers to provide classroom support, helping pupils to engage with their learning and achieve their potential.

About the role:

• Supporting teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation
• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils
• Helping students access the curriculum and complete learning tasks
• Supporting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
• Assisting with classroom organisation and resources
• Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence, and development
• Working closely with teaching staff and the wider school team

About you:

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable
• Positive and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patient and adaptable when working with different pupil needs
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Reliable and committed to supporting children’s education
• Relevant qualifications or experience in education are desirable
